    New York City

I've lived in New York City - Brooklyn - for over 20 years. For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.

Currently live here and been here 30 years so I can tell you is the city has become much more violence increase murders in the hatch well it's always had like a sense of division between black and white individuals that's become more pronounced or some more mental illness in the street otherwise it's a great place for a young professional who's idealistic want to change the world but very expensive and certainly world class healthcare but also unless you have good insurance you're goin

    San Antonio

Where cowboys and the wild west truly started, San Antonio is a beautiful and historic city with many layers to explore within and outside the city. It's a hotter town than Austin, not just in temperature, but also in terms of friendliness, activities, family values, and cultural richness (with authentic tacos of all types, Tex-Mex, Cali style, and from Mexico City), it has one of the best culinary and cocktail scenes in the country. It's one of the most affordable for millennials in the States

    Playa del Carmen

I have only been to a couple of digital nomad spots around the world, but I must say I have been disappointed with PDC for several reasons. I am a coworking space kind of girl and even though there are a few here, they are all not great. Especially if you compare them to the spaces in Bali Canggu/Ubud for example. In PDC it was all about choosing the lesser „evil" for me. They are okay, but I didn't feel the same community vibes or very inspired in these places. The choices of healthy foo

    Queretaro

Queretaro is a fantastic cheap and liveable city. Need some spanish here but the wifi is fast and I'm catching up on my budget from traveling around very quickly. Staying with friends in more of a neighborhood but the downtown is charming, super clean and walkable. Also, a great place to stock up necessities, I can get all of my "brands" here at a regular price. Enjoying indulging in some home luxuries in this city. No party life here really, super safe, heavy large suburb vibes.

I must be alone on this one; but I did 2 weeks in CDMX and it wasn't great for me. First of all, it was CHILLY in the mornings and at night (late August - Early Sept). And to stay in the nicer and convenient neighborhoods, which you kind of have to in CDMX or you will be bothered, the airbnbs were pricey, and nearby restaurants too. Sidewalks very small and cramped. The vendors and police were a bit aggressive here. The nightlife was a bit dull to me, limited to just a few places. The green park

  • Members here right now

No members are here right now. If you are, add it as a trip and you'll show up here!

    Members who have been here

Values shown are estimated visits by traveling remote workers based on the total amount of trips logged by Nomad List members. Visits to a place are only counted once per year per user, even if they visit more in that year. Not all nomads are on Nomad List, and not all Nomad List members log their trips. So the data is only indicative.
The tags below are how people who visit Scranton self describe themselves. We only show tags which are proportionally selected more compared to the overall population of members.

The chart below shows visitors by nationality normalized for population size. This means we take all trips logged on Nomad List, check which country of origin the user is from, then divide that total visit count by the country of origin's population. If we didn't, it'd just show the big countries like US, Brazil and India always on top. Instead, this shows which nationalities worldwide proportionally visit more or less, which is more useful.
